Ormond by the Sea is a quaint seaside community betwen Ormond Beach
and Flagler Beach on Florida's central east coast. Ormond by the sea is on
a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Halifax River. A
summer playground for the rich like Henry Flagler and John D. Rockefeller
in years gone by, Ormond Beach is now known as the Birthplace of Speed
due to the early auto races on its beaches. Ormond by the Sea is North of
the Ormond Beach city limits and is an unincorporated area that is mostly
residential. Ormond Beach is centrally located to many of central Florida's
most popular attractions.
Many of our guests enjoy day trips to the major attractions while having
days off in between at their rental condo to relax and have a home cooked
meal. Ormond By the Sea has less than 9,000 households and a
population under 20,000. Many of the condominium units and single family
residences are occupied full time. Some are only used occaisionally as a
second home and some are occupied only as a winter residence.

Of course we are just 6 miles from Daytona Beach. Home of the LPGA,
NASCAR, the Daytona 500, and the U.S. Tennis Assoc. Ormond Beach is
part of the greater Daytona Beach area in Volusia County, Florida. Lots
to do in and around the Daytona Beach area and when the day is done
you can relax on the private balcony of your Ormond Beach condo rental
and sip your favorite beverage while basking in the ocean breeze.

in Ponce Inlet. Tomoka State Park is the ultimate in bird watching and also
features a natures trail, museum and canoe rentals. Lots of good fishing
spots can be found in the area. Daytona Beach also offers a variety of
theater productions, sports, parks and museums and other cultural
entertainment attractions.

A rare World War II coastal watch tower was refurbished in 2004 including
a placard placed at it’s base with a brief history. The 30 foot tower, built
in the 1940’s was reorganized as a historic site in the mid 1990’s. The
tower is on the dunes around the 2100 block of Ocean Shore Boulevard.
Ormond By The Sea has an Oceanfront park (Tom Renick Park) with
parking and picnic facilities and bicentenial park with tennis and
ballfield facilities. Highbridge park is on the river and is a popular fishing
spot and boat launch. There is also a nature trail.
